Copius Group are recruiting for a Senior Planner for a permanent placement within an international M&E contracting team.
As a Senior Planner, you will be key to our project development and implementation process in the South West of Ireland. You will collaborate closely with Contracts Managers and a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to deliver state-of-the-art projects.
Skills and Requirements:
Assist the PMT in the development and execution of project programmes.
Manage and support the planning team in executing projects.
Ability to oversee multiple projects and regularly visit project sites.
Expertise in forensic planning and delay claim analysis.
In-depth understanding of electrical systems.
Relevant third-level qualification.
At least 8 years of post-qualification experience (preferably including M&E contracting experience).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Primavera P6 software.
Ability to challenge and review Main Contractor/General Contractor programmes as necessary.
Senior Planner Responsibilities:
Lead the planning team in creating detailed EPC construction schedules for client baseline agreement.
Conduct health checks on schedules before baselining to ensure accuracy, integrity, and critical path validation.
Develop fully resource-loaded schedules, and produce and track KPIs.
Ensure the construction schedule is accurate and updated in a timely manner.
Track planned versus actual EV progress.
Implement systems to capture and log issues through appropriate change control mechanisms.
Attend internal and client-based site meetings as required.
Monitor budgets for scope growth/changes against the original plan.
Oversee fabrication workshop production and site installation progress.
Track productivity, comparing spent versus earned hours.
Ensure timely completion of planning deliverables for weekly/monthly construction reports.
Generate weekly, monthly, and periodic reports for internal and external stakeholders.
