The spectacular Carrigaline to Crosshaven walking route plays host to a special charity fundraising event this St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th aimed at raising funds for the depression support, education and information services provided by Aware. The Cork walk has grown from the Harbour2Harbour Walk event which has been organised by Aware in Dublin each year since 2005.
The walk is open to people of all ages and fitness levels; this is a great way to mark our national day and a great day out for solo walkers or groups of family/friends.
You can do 5 km, (go to the 2.5 km mark and circle back to Carrigaline) or do 10 km, walk to Crosshaven and circle back to finish at Carrigaline.
Not only will you reap the benefits of being physically active – which can have a very positive effect on mental health and wellbeing – you will also be participating in a fun and worthwhile event.
